The pad heats fine, but even when its off, the control stays very hot, hot enough to be uncomfortable to keep touching. It can be off all day, and when you touch it to turn it on, the control is very hot, even though the pad is cold. During the day, I unplug it,in case it should catch fire. I've never had a control of any kind get & stay hot before you turn it on.

This throw is very soft and comfy! I returned it for the larger TWIN size to get more length. The twin size is perfect for sitting in a recliner watching TV. They are both very soft and beautiful! The company was great about exchanging for the twin size. I would recommend the throw for putting over your lap mostly but for all over body heat and comfort, spend a little more and get the twin size. I love it and am thinking about buying more for Christmas gifts!!!

Works just fine. I've never used the "moist" option, so no comment on that. I like the larger size and the fact that the heating pad doesn't shut off automatically after a certain amount of time, but this is a personal preference. Good price compared to what's at the local drug stores.

When your having lots of pain. You sure don't need your heating pad to turn off on you. I have mine in my recliner. I get up and do a litte housework and come back to a nice hot pad for my aches and pains. The others would turn off and I would come back to a cold heat pad and I would waste time waiting for it to heat up and do it's job before I could get back to doing my job. I am happy:)

My Mom and I have been searching for the longest time to find a heating pad "like the old ones"...this is it! Look no further! It heats beautifully and doesn't turn off in 2 hours...it stays on until you turn it off! It's a perfect all around heating pad! Couldn't live without it!!
