Joy Said: Doesn't heat up enough ... no buy ( Sep. 2nd 2009 )
I have got one today and it doesn't worth the money spent on it. It doesn't heat up enough in the highest temperature setting. Initially it starts to heat up and then stops heating and doesn't come back for quite some time. This is not convenient to use around the neck. I am going to return it back.
Heliopolis Said: Stopping working after 1 month ( Aug. 16th 2009 )
I've never had a heating pad be a dud like this, but this unit started to malfunction in less than 1 month. It gave an error code, which at first I could reset by unplugging it. It was a pain to have to unplug it to reset it, instead of just pressing the on/off button. After a while it just showed the error, and I gave up on the darn thing. It's otherwise a nice design & perfect for my needs - I strapped it to the back of my chair in my office to keep my back from cramping up while typing. Most heating pads without straps will start to roll into a bundle unless you are lying right on top of them. But I dont want to waste my money again trying another of these, given the extremely short life.
Stephen McHenry Said: Works well; timer is a really nice feature ( Jun. 10th 2009 )
Well made, more not as stiff as a normal heating pad, extra long cord, controller to set temperature and a timer. The timer is wonderful for going to sleep on the pad but not wanting to worry about overdoing it. Timer options from 1/2 hour to 4 hours (or only all the time) is a very practical feature. There are velcro straps in the front that can be used to secure the pad in place (it fits very nicely around my neck for instance). There is a security/safety feature; if the controller senses a partial electrical connection it will turn itself off to avoid a high resistance condition, so don't use this with extension cords, the cord provided is long enough, and make sure the cord to pad connection stays tight (for instance, if it hangs off the side of the bed in midair it might loosen). Very happy I have this, best heating pad ever.
P. Ryan Said: Sad face ( Apr. 20th 2009 )
I have purchased two of these in the last two years. One lasted 30 days and died didn't bother sending back not worth the time.
L. Butler Said: It could only be made better by being wireless (that would rock!) ( Mar. 14th 2009 )
OK, so this thing has its quirks... but in the land of heating pads, they ALL do from what I've seen/felt/you get my drift. The shape may seem weird... it's AWESOME. With the velcroed elastic straps, FINALLY I have a pad I can have STAY on my lower back as I work, and even better, that shape means my shoulder and just below it in the back gets the huge section, one of the skinny parts (with the elastic pieces at the end of each) following my sore shoulder blade, the other skinny bit wrapping around the front by my collarbone... surely I'm not the only person who has that upper pectoral pain (ok so I do have breasts to cause part of that, but lifting, balancing, and other general duties make it sore to the touch). In any case, it feels GREAT wrapped like that, messenger bag style. The downside? OK, see the gray cord? the remote is down a bit on it... that's fine except my first one wouldn't auto-off so I returned it... what IS annoying is th part where the cord connects to the pad... one side of the pad is hotter than the other (by design), I like the hotter side (it's wonderful), and ... when I put it on my sore right shoulder, that plastic attaching thingermabobber is oftentimes, because I've put it on diagonally, well, it's kinda nibbling on my ear. It's not the kind of nibble that I want, even if it is quite a bit hotter when we're together, you know? That gripe is so minor... the thing is versatile, comfortable, and (now that I exchanged it for one whose remote worked properly to make it turn off), something I'm very glad I bought! Sunbeam, you guys really did something right this time! (and it was about time!!)
